Hey whats up everyone,
In this screenflow video tip of the week I’ll be showing you how to change the canvas background colour in screenflow from the default black.
I’m sure you’re wondering what the canvas background is let alone change it. Well the background canvas colour is the colour right behind this footage, so if I shrink the footage down you’ll see what I’m talking about.
The black you’re looking at now is the canvas colour, this can come into play if you plan on shrinking or moving your footage around. You can do some fancy twisting in and out stuff with your footage but thats for another lesson.
So, how do you change the canvas colour? well its easy, if you come down to this little square and click on it, it will bring up the resize tool, if you come to the right of the resize bar you will see a small box with a little bit of black inside, hover over that, it will say change the colour of the background canvas, click on that and it will bring up the colour palette.
All you need to do then is move this slider to the left or right usually the more to the right you go the darker it gets and the more to the right you go the lighter it gets.
When you pick the area you want, simply click into the circle where you can see the cross hairs and drag to the colour your after. Once you’ve picked the colour, close it out by clicking the cross on the top left, then come over to the right and click apply.
This has now set the canvas background colour of choice.
So you now know how to change the background canvas colour in screenflow instead of the boring black.
